Symphony of scents

Fragrance perception varies based on factors like style, notes, mood, and environment. Time of day influences how we experience scents; for instance, fragrances may be perceived differently in the afternoon due to our circadian rhythms. Some fragrances linger softly in a room, these are often more powdery, feminine fragrances, that use musk or light sugared candy notes. While others are bold and attention-grabbing, featuring strong notes like caramel and citrus.

If you do not burn the wax all the way to the outside of the candle, the candle can form a pattern of tunnelling which leaves unmelted wax around the edges. This may reduce the overall fragrance throw and eventually may drown the wicks so the candle will not stay alight.

We ask that you stop burning your candle at the 1cm wax mark as lower than this there may not be enough wax left in the candle to absorb the heat of the flame, which can lead the glass to becoming very hot and/or cracking.

Yes. As the wax level drops, the wicks effectively become longer so we advise that you trim the wicks to 7mm and ensure they're upright prior to each new burn.

A candle wick requires trimming between burns or if the candle has been burning continuously for two or more hours. The wicks should be trimmed to about 7mm from the wax, only then will the candle stop emitting carbon - the black residue. If there is black residue on the glass of your candle jar, use a dry piece of paper towel and wipe clean.

If candle safety is not followed, thermal shock on the glass vessel can occur. It is important to always read and follow the safety instructions on the base of all of our candles.

Our 3 Wick Haven Luxe candles have a burn time of 32 hours. Please note that burn times will vary. The following factors will affect the time a candle will last; fragrance, colour burning habits and environmental conditions.
